Terry Clarke-Coyne was brought up in an Irish music family in Liverpool, UK, and has played flutes and whistles since he was 11 years old, mainly playing Irish traditional music.
He has played in several groups and line-ups over the years including Philip Masure Duo, Irish Sea Sessions, Niamh Parson’s, John Wright Band, Liverpool Ceili Band, and Garva.
He is also a multi-instrumentalist and noted traditional singer.
His new album titled ‘Whistle Walks’ came about due to the Covid 19 pandemic lockdown during 2020/21. He produced over 150 videos of music played outdoors amongst the hills, valleys, fields, lakes and rivers surrounding his home village of Minera in the hills of North Wales. Many of the videos feature ‘virtual’ duets with a host of top-class musicians from the world of Irish traditional music.
His “Whistle Walks” album features many of these artists.
